One of the best things about DIY crafts is making cool, creative stuff that's usually easy on the budget.

Some of my favorite, cheap DIY ideas involve paint chips. People are happy to share their ideas on sites like COLOURlovers and Scottsdale Living, but what I want to know is how on earth these people are able to swipe so many paint chips?

I was in the Home Depot paint department the other day, trying to gather resources, when I felt the suspicious eyes of a sales associate on my back. I didn't stick around to face the humiliation of being asked to hand over my "free" paint chip samples, and when I left the store, I discovered I'd only managed to grab five sheets -not nearly enough for the 40-60 it takes for one of the smaller projects.

I learned from this adventure that I'm underqualified for this kind of project, but maybe some of you guys will have better luck.

I'm not going to try to justify why I ♥ these photos so much or why exactly bows are on my mind lately. Truth is, I admire "bow-people" (even though I don't think I could pull one off myself). What says, "I'm spunky, fun, and playful," better than a bow?

These beautiful bow creations are all displayed (some even with how-to's) on  A Beautiful Mess. I hope you'll check them out.
